The index ranks 48 global cities according to six categories: Economy, Research and Development, Cultural Interaction, Quality of Life, Environment and Accessibility. ![]() With a score of 861.2, Buenos Aires is the best city in Latin America, above São Paulo and Mexico City, and ranked 40th globally, in a ranking led by London, New York and Tokyo.
